This story began almost 100 years ago,
in the 1920s.

Prominent Ukrainian pathophysiologist Alexander Bogomolets became interested in the phenomenon of aging. He is one of the first in the world to pay attention to the role of connective tissue, which is crucial for a healthy and long life. Disorders of the connective tissue reflect the processes that lead to aging and death.

Bogomolets believed that each person can live actively up to 100-120 years.
He created a unique clinic in Kiev (Ukraine) to combat premature old age. Subsequently, the world's first Institute of Gerontology was established at this clinic.

The idea of a long healthy life academician Bogomolets implemented in the form of a drug called "anti-reticular cytotoxic serum" (АRC).
Animal experiments have revealed interesting curative and preventive effects of this drug.

In 1934, at the World Exhibition in Paris, Bogomolets with colleagues from the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences presents antireticular serum and the results of scientific researches that confirmed its effectiveness.

French newspapers fluttered with headlines - "la longe vite" ... Famous French pharmaceutical companies began to produce this drug.

And in the Soviet newspapers in those days, Bogomolets was called "The knight of socialist science, who took over the old age."
Bogomolets has published a monograph "Extension of Life", which is popular and has been translated into many languages.

There is a version that the USSR leader Joseph Stalin, in the hope of extending his own life, closely followed the work of Academician Bogomolets. And at Stalin's orders, this book was classified for some time.
